Mechatronics engineer on the road to success

“I love the variety of my job here at KTP. In my day-to-day work, there are a lot of mechanical tasks, but also electrical engineering, maintenance and the construction of new systems – I particularly like the opportunity to support longer-term projects.”

Timon, Mechatronics enigneer

Timon started his apprenticeship as a mechatronics engineer at KTP in 2019. Back then in the maintenance department in Bous. He finished his apprenticeship in 2022 and has been working intensively on the project for the new embossing system in Lisdorf ever since.

“The machine is an in-house development, constructed by our tool shop and a small group of engineers and experienced employees. The focus here is clearly on quality over quantity. The product currently looks very good, but it will get even better!”

For Timon, “just” good is not good enough. He not only strives for constant improvement in his work projects. He is currently considering continuing his education by studying part-time in the field of “Systems Engineering”. “The offer from my supervisor is definitely there. The training opportunities at KTP are very good. If you show commitment, then all doors are open to you.”

Timon appreciates the open and helpful nature of his colleagues.

“You can talk to anyone and, like in a family, it goes without saying that you support each other. The team spirit at KTP is really exceptional.”

Speaking of family: Timon has two siblings. And it was a friend of his sister’s who works at KTP himself and drew his attention to the company when the subject of an apprenticeship was discussed – typically Saarland. You know someone who knows someone… In his free time, Timon likes to watch action movies and series. He also enjoys going on vacation, where he likes to take it easy. A trip to the USA would be a dream that he would like to fulfill in the near future.
