The EuroStack 128 container designation stands for a development goal – a container with the exact basic size of a standard EPAL pallet made of wood.
This new development combined several highlights in the container design of the EuroStack 128. The container is available in the standard three- piece version and as a one-piece SmartFix® version. The two systems feature, amongst other things, a closed pallet deck and automatic locking with our “bracket principle”.
The basic size of the EuroStack 128 pallet – 1200 x 800 mm – corresponds exactly to a euro wooden pallet. It has nine feet and three longitudinally framed and screwed skids.
The integrated steel reinforcement means problem-free storage in the high rack – even with high loads. The pallet construction is extremely robust and long-lasting.
The “brackets” cause the sleeve to engage automatically with the pallet. Even if the container tilts, this function means that both parts are securely connected to one another.
The closed pallet deck protects the goods in transit against environmental influences – unlike a conventional wooden EPAL pallet.
The special pallet design means automated handling is no problem. The width of the skids/pallet feet is identical to the skid widths of the classic EPAL pallet. The EuroStack 128 can therefore run without any problem on a variety of floor conveyor systems, e. g. roller conveyors – exactly like the Euro pallet. Like the wooden solution, the EuroStack 128 pallet can be picked up/put down by forklift truck from all 4 sides. The optimised foot construction also reduces vulnerability to damage.
The lid geometry and the pallet structure of the EuroStack 128 make the container extremely compatible. Euro pallets can be stacked on the closed container up to the maximum permitted payload. Vice versa the EuroStack 128 has a secure grip on VDA lids (1200 x 800 mm).

The aim of this container development was to create a genuine 1200 x 800 mm system, but with optimum internal dimensions. The container was also to incorporate the classic KTP sandwich folding. The pallet and the lid had to be completely redesigned and constructed. The product was a Euro-size container solution, which replaces not only conventional packaging, but also offers extra ergonomics and safety.

Six inlaid rubber strips on the top surface of the lid provide additional grip when stacked.
The four anti-slip strips on the bottom of the pallet maximise safety when being maneuvered by forklift.
Our re-usable EuroStack 128 container enables a drastic reduction in single- use packaging waste.
We have also achieved an additional
75% volume reduction in the folded “sandwich”.
The recycling material used and long service life of our containers contribute to a very good ecobalance. Volume reduction offers scale effects for transport- and process optimisation. CO2 and fine particles are reduced, industrial waste is reused and cardboard boxes are no longer needed. All this has a positive effect on our Corporate Social Responsibility.
