Of course, there is a lot of exciting, interesting, great and informative stuff to report at KTP. However, there also needs to be a balance 😉

Sometimes you simply need a change of scenery: clear your head, recharge your batteries (mentally, not from the socket), collect new impressions or simply switch off. Time out. Vacation.

So here is our first pit stop – made in South Tyrol, more precisely at Lake Braies, the “Lago di Braies”. 

The mountain lake is located in the Braies Valley in the South Tyrolean municipality of Braies, a few kilometers from Toblach in the Braies Dolomites. It is part of the Fanes-Sennes-Prags Nature Park and a protected natural monument.

A few facts about the lake:
• lies at approx. 1494 m above sea level
• the water surface is about 31 ha
• average water depth approx. 17 m, max. approx. 36 m

So if you haven’t been to the Dolomites or South Tyrol yet – we can highly recommend it. 

The Lake Braies is definitely worth a visit.
